By Micaela Donelly

You can really get intimidated sometimes but this is the right time to keep your cool. You do not have to announce your fears. This is a typical routine that confront almost every new person at high school. And it can get bad, especially when you have just arrived on campus.

On many occasions, the students who are already in the system try the new ones just to know what staff you are made of. They can create all sorts of scenes to make sure of you, but do not let yourself go. Just be conscious and don't follow their wishes to please them.

Your presence and personality will count very much at the early days. Put on a nice and smart face and carry yourself with respect. Deep down in you, it could be some different reaction but it will be very vital to keep that strange reaction down for a while. But this does not mean you have impressed others. You can look smiling, nice and smart but still be firm and don't easily conform.

Talk with anyone who comes your way and show a genuine interest in everybody. That is all people want to see and they will be ready to relate with you. But do not pick out some people to relate with.

Settling fine in any new environment can be very difficult at times. And high school is not an exception. It even becomes more of a hurdle when the people who are supposed to help you settle well do not even entertain your presence. But that is exactly when to relax and allow time to fix you in.

This could be the most difficult times at high school and every second in the condition might hurt, but the moment this is over you might not remember the stress again. The folks who put real thorns in your flesh can become the best of friend, but it is also important to note that, all cannot be friends and all will not fancy you. Some few people might never flow with you for no you know of.

Even before you are on your way, does this necessary home work. Talk to yourself and equip your mentality with the toughness it needs. Knowing very well your personality, nothing can stop you from making high school a better place. You have made friends at home, related with all sorts of people in your neighbourhood and at your previous school, so you can surely survive high school.

All you have to do is to put on your armour of bold and confidence and let your cheerfulness lead you to your new atmosphere to conquer and excel. - 42572
